AARP
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to making life better for people 50 and over. ACORN's priorities include: better housing for first time homebuyers and tenants, living wages for low-wage workers, more investment in our communities from banks and governments, and better public schools.

AAKP is the voluntary,

American Hospital Association
The AHA is a not-for-profit association of health care provider organizations and individuals that are committed to the health improvement of their communities. The AHA is the national advocate for its members, which includes 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 37,000 individual members. Founded in 1898, the AHA provides education for health care leaders and is a source of information on health care issues and trends.

As the national professional organization for all physicians, the American Medical Association (AMA) serves as the steward of medicine and leader of the medical profession.
American Optometric Association
The American Optometric Association (AOA) is the premiere authority in the optometric industry. With more than 32,000 members in 6,600 U.S. and foreign communities, the AOA leads the way in its mission of improving the quality and availability of eye and vision care everywhere. The AOA is a federation of state, student and armed forces optometric associations. Through these affiliations, the AOA serves members consisting of optometrists, students of optometry, paraoptometric assistants and technicians.

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA), a national member association representing
more than 54,000 osteopathic physicians, is the leading source of information
on osteopathic medicine. The AOA serves as the primary certifying body for
D.O.s, and is the accrediting agency for all osteopathic medical colleges and
health care facilities. The AOA is dedicated to promoting excellence in education,

American Pharmacists Association
The American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the national professional society of pharmacists, founded in 1852 as the American Pharmaceutical Association, is the first-established and largest professional association of pharmacists in the United States. American Society of Consultant Pharmacists
The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) is the international professional association that provides leadership, education, advocacy, and resources to advance the practice of senior care pharmacy. Black Women's Health Imperative
Black Women's Health Imperative, the new name of the National Black Women's Health Project, is a leading African American health education, research, advocacy and leadership development institution. Founded in 1983 by health activist Byllye Y. Avery, it has been a pioneer in promoting the empowerment of African American women as educated health care consumers and a strong voice for the improved health status of African American women.
B'nai B'rith International
B'nai B'rith International has worked to improve the lives of seniors across America since its first humanitarian act in 1843, which provided aid to widows in New York City. Through its Center for Senior Services, B'nai B'rith continues this tradition. B'nai B'rith is currently the largest national Jewish sponsor of federally subsidized housing and also sponsors market rate housing, advocates for seniors in Washington, and develops public education programs related to issues affecting the elderly.

Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly
The Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE), is a non-profit organization, based in Philadelphia, dedicated to improving the quality of life for vulnerable older people. CARIE was founded in 1977 primarily as an advocacy organization for the frail elderly. Its initial program, the CARIE LINE, quickly became recognized throughout the region as a resource for a wide range of people and institutions seeking to resolve elder care issues.
Center for Medicare Advocacy
The Center is a national, non-partisan education and advocacy organization that identifies and promotes solutions to ensure that elders and people with disabilities have access to Medicare and quality health care. With national headquarters in Connecticut; the Center also has offices throughout the country, including a policy advocacy office in Washington, D.C. With a staff of attorneys, paralegals, nurses and information management experts, the Center represents thousands of individuals in appeals of Medicare denials. Center staff also responds to over 6,000 calls annually from elders, people with disabilities, and their families.

Housing Development & Operations Corporation
Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation (EHDOC) develops and manages safe, secure, and affordable housing for senior citizens across the United States. EHDOC currently manages 43 multi-family communities, comprising some 4,000 apartments, in 14 states, as well as Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico.
Epilepsy Foundation
The Epilepsy Foundation is a national, charitable organization, founded in 1968 as the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Aimed at the large population of older Americans who cannot afford or choose not to enroll in computer training or Internet training, Generations on Line is both a service for access and product for learning. The National Association for Hispanic Elderly is an organization which provides a variety of services to meet the needs of older Hispanic people and other low-income elderly. The association also administers the Senior Environmental Employment Program.

NAHC is the nation's largest trade association representing the interests and concerns of home care agencies, hospices, home care aide organizations, and medical equipment suppliers. Simply put, NAHC is the one organization dedicated to making home care and hospice providers lives easier.
National Association of Area Agencies on Aging
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A) is the umbrella organization for the 655 area agencies on aging (AAAs) and more than 230 Title VI Native American aging programs in the U.S. Through its presence in Washington , D.C., N4A advocates on behalf of the local aging agencies to ensure that needed resources and support services are available to older Americans. The fundamental mission of the AAAs and Title VI programs is to provide services which make it possible for older individuals to remain in their home, thereby preserving their independence and dignity. These agencies coordinate and support a wide range of home- and community-based services, including information and referral, home-delivered and congregate meals, transportation, employment services, senior centers, adult day care and a long-term care ombudsman program.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) represents the nation's
leading retail chain pharmacies and suppliers, helping them better meet the changing
needs of their patients and customers. NACDS members operate more than 32,000
pharmacies, employ 112,000 pharmacists, fill more than 2.1 billion prescriptions
yearly, and have annual sales of over $500 billion. Other
members include more than 1000 suppliers of products and services to the chain
drug industry.
National Association of Community Health Centers
NACHC is the national trade association serving and representing the interests of America's health centers. Community, Migrant, Homeless and Public Housing Health Centers are non-profit providers of health care to America's poor and medically underserved. Health centers serve 15 million people in over 3600 health center delivery sites - spanning urban and rural communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and all territories.

The National Association of State Units on Aging is a national non-profit membership organization comprised of 56 state and territorial government agencies on aging. The association advances social, health and economic policies responsive to the needs of a diverse aging population. NASUA enhances the capacity of its membership to promote the rights, dignity and independence of and expand opportunities and resources for current and future generations of older persons, adults with disabilities and their families.
National Black Nurses Association
NBNA represents approximately 150,000 African American nurses from the USA, Eastern Caribbean and Africa, with 76 chartered chapters nationwide. NBNA mission is to provide a forum for collective action by African American nurses to "investigate, define and determine what the health care needs of African Americans are and to implement change to make available to African Americans and other minorities health care commensurate with that of the larger society."

The National Council of Churches, founded in 1950, is the leading force for ecumenical cooperation among Christians in the United States.
The NCC's 36 Protestant, Anglican, Orthodox, historic African American and Living Peace member faith groups include 45 million persons in more than 100,000 local congregations in communities across the nation.
National Council of State Pharmacy Association Executives
NCSPAE, founded in 1927, is made up of all state pharmacy association executive directors (including D.C. and Puerto Rico) and associate members. Our mission is to enhance the professional management of state pharmacy associations and to facilitate communication and activities related to issues of common concern among our state association members.

The National Health Council is an 80 year old, private, nonprofit association of 110 national health-related organizations that includes patient organizations, professional and membership associations, business and industry and other groups with an interest in health care. The Council focuses on promoting quality health care for all people, the importance of medical research and the role of patient organizations.
National Hispanic Council on the Aging
The National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) was established in 1979 as an advocate organization with the primary purpose of improving the quality of life for Latino elderly, families and communities. The National Hispanic Medical Association is a non-profit association representing 36,000 licensed Hispanic physicians in the United States. As a rapidly growing national resource based in the nation's capital, NHMA provides policymakers and health care providers with expert information and support in strengthening health service delivery to Hispanic communities across the nation.

The National Latina Health Network (NLHN) is the premier non-profit organization dedicated to developing and strengthening networks of Latina leaders in public health, and building local and national community health partnerships. Based in Washington, DC, NLHN represents more than 1,500 Latina professionals across the continental US and Puerto Rico, and youth-serving agencies.
National Low Income Housing Coalition
The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) is dedicated solely to ending America’s affordable housing crisis. NLIHC believes that this is achievable, that the affordable housing crisis is a problem that Americans are capable of solving. While NLIHC is concerned about the housing circumstances of all low income people, it focus its advocacy on those with the most serious housing problems, the lowest income households.

The NMA promotes the collective interests of physicians and patients of African descent. We carry out this mission by serving as the collective voice of physicians of African descent and a leading force for parity in medicine, elimination of health disparities and promotion of optimal health.

Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
RSVP is part of Senior Corps, a network of national service programs that provides older Americans the opportunity to apply their life experience to meeting community needs. Among other activities, they mentor at-risk youth, organize neighborhood watch programs, test drinking water for contaminants, teach English to immigrants, and lend their business skills to community groups that provide critical social services.

The Arc
The Arc is the national organization of and for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and their families. It is devoted to promoting and improving supports and services for people with mental retardation and their families. The association also fosters research and education regarding the prevention of mental retardation in infants and young children.
The Seniors Coalition

United Spinal Association
United Spinal Association (United Spinal) is a membership organization that was incorporated in New York in 1947 under the name Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association (Eastern). Until January of 2003, Eastern operated as a chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and provided services to veterans with a spinal cord injury or disease, such as multiple sclerosis, poliomyelitis, or Lou Gehrig's disease. United Spinal has the expanded mission of advocacy for all individuals with a spinal cord injury or disease, regardless of their age, gender, or veteran status.
